The 3D reconstruction of the bridge is largely based on the physical scale model currently housed in the Maastricht Museum located in the Centre Ceramique municipal building in Maastricht (see image below). The dimensions of the 3D reconstruction are approximate and not based on the surviving evidence from this site.
Evidence and visualisations of the Roman bridge at Cuyck was not taken into account for this reconstruction but could be drawn on for further 3D development, as it is located further north along the Meuse River and has a similar castellum size and arrangement.
The archaeological discoveries of spolia from the former settlement period led to the inclusion of two 3D‑digitised models of real Roman gravestone fragments taken from Sketchfab, one of which is attested to be from the nearby Heerlen community.
