2.9c SOURCES: 3D Interpretation of the Castellum’s Remaining Structures and Landscape

The remaining aspects of the castellum and its environs have not been fully reconstructed and are here presented as untextured hypothetical placeholders for further investigations and research. Buildings A, C and a few other small remains are integrated in the fort’s interior, respecting the site plans produced from different archaeological investigations.

The small singular tower fort on the eastern side of the river crossing is a 3D model downloaded from Sketchfab with the textures removed. It is displayed here as a suggestion of a possible structure for monitoring movement to the main castellum. It is also possible that no structures were built on this side of the bridge.

The landscape respects the suggested formations of the riverbank, gravel islands and confluence streams. It is not, however, an accurate representation of the real terrain and should not be measured in terms of the height above sea level.
