The two gates are reconstructed with reliable primary evidence of the western gate’s foundation and lower section, which is exposed to the public in the basement of the Derlon Hotel. As with the walls and towers, the missing elements of the gate are informed from a mix of conjecture and analogies from other reconstructions – namely the reports by T. Nivola/INSA for the entryway and tower gates from the Horbourgh-Wihr castrum. However, the gate is reconstructed as a solid lower construction and open upper level for passage along the rampart walls. The bi-angled roof situation for the gates was suggested by city archaeologists as a generic possible construction, which is in contrast to the castellum maquette housed in the Centre Ceramique.
At this time, the roman road is not modelled in 3D meaning there is no presence of the agger and ditches for the 3D landscape. There is a generic variation for the ground texture to indicate its presence and general location passing through the fort and extending generally to the east and west.
