An unexpected challenge I encountered was the effect of background color on the 3D model in Voyager. While the glass model looked clean and neutral against any backdrop in Blender, in Voyager, it picked up unwanted color tints when placed on lighter or colored backgrounds. Only a black background maintained the intended clarity of the glass texture.
I also tried using a greyish background to avoid color distortion, but this caused the model to lose its glass-like appearance, turning more matte instead.
Greyish Background Color in Voyager
Although the glass texture may not be physically perfect, it visually feels like glass. This highlights the challenge in digital modeling: balancing realism with the limitations of real-time rendering environments like Voyager.
