At the time I was prepping Muffin, there was a lot of chatter in the field about Jurassic Park movies and how they really wanted to get the motion right. I read an article from the American Association for the Advancement of Science (Joel, 2017) summarising a paper by Fronimos et al. (2016) about how the grooves where the neural spines connect to the centrum allow for a swaying motion and huge size.
I was careful not to epoxy any of these pieces that were not already fused, since that is sometimes used to determine if the dinosaur is a baby, subadult or adult.
