A Genealogy of Home Cinema is a media historical exploration of the emergence of home cinema at the beginning of the 20th century. Specifically, it focuses on two early home cinema technologies, their histories and user practices: (1) the Kinora motion photography viewer (1896-1914) and (2) the Pathé Baby 9.5mm film projector (1922-1932). Both objects are part of the media archaeological collection of the Luxembourg Centre for Contemporary and Digital History (C2DH) at the University of Luxembourg.
