After opening the tilting arm mechanism, a Kinora reel can be mounted onto the viewer. This is done by connecting the large and small pins of the viewer's worm gear to the corresponding large and small holes on the Kinora reel core. Once the reel is mounted onto the worm gear, the tilting arm mechanism can be closed to hold the reel in place during rotation.
