The Kinora viewer used for the 3D model contains a metal lens hood with double lenses. One lens is positioned in the middle, the other at the bottom of the lens hood. Their function is to magnify the images when viewed through the viewer.
Another distinctive feature of the Kinora system is the curvature of the image cards on the Kinora reel. A small metal stop, positioned at the edge of the viewer’s guidance, briefly arrests and separates each of the curved image cards during rotation. As a result, the images are flattened the moment they become visible through the lens. This creates the anticipated illusion of movement when viewing the series of images through the viewer.
