This Edition presents a reconstruction of the church of St. John's in Mainz in the year 800 AD, developed as part of the Digital Urban History Lab (DUHL) project in collaboration with the Institute of Architecture of the Hochschule Mainz (AI MAINZ) and the Rhineland-Palatinate General Directorate for Cultural Heritage (GDKE). The elaboration of the 3D model and the creation of a narrative around it was prepared as a seperate project of PURE 3D Digital Scholarly Editions and Igor Bajena's PhD dissertation at the University of Bologna on methods of documentation and publication of hypothetical digital reconstructions.
