Navigating Metashape Agisoft

Working with the software was definitively no easy task! We were given simplified instruction manuals in the course and little time to go through the whole process of creating a 3D model, so most of the learning curve happened at home. It took a very long time, sleepless nights and a lot of patience to create the model you are currently looking at. The long processing time of the steps between the pictures and the final model is a challenge. Another downside of this software is that it does not always tell you that an error occurred and that, accompanied by our inexpertise, led to many tricky problems such as models not aligning and the refinement tool transforming the models into an unsightly blue mess. It all starts with taking good pictures in three rotations of the object, upside-down and from the top, without touching the object itself or the zoom function. Once you get that right, it is very important to choose the right pictures and to divide them accordingly. The most difficult thing is to delete the unruly pixels that do not belong. If this course has taught us one thing it is to retry countless times until you get it right and to never give up.
