The Toy Story franchise consists of four movies (Toy Story, 1995; Toy Story 2, 1999; Toy Story 3, 2010; Toy Story 4, 2019), with a fifth one in the making (Toy Story 5, 2026).
However, the Toy Story universe runs much bigger. The universe expands through multiple animated shorts, television series, spin-offs, and video games. Toy Story appears through various cameos in other Pixar and Disney movies, turned into theme park attractions, and, naturally, are available as actual toys.
Toy Story is about a group of toys that are very much alive when humans are not looking. It started as a story mainly focusing on the toys, called Sheriff Woody, voiced by Tom Hanks, and Buzz Lightyear, voiced by Tim Allen. The movie by Pixar Animation Studios was directed by John Lasseter and distributed by Walt Disney.
Below is a timeline highlighting significant events from the Toy Story universe. But be advised that it is incomplete, as it would have been too excessive to include everything.
