To build the 3D model, we first had to take photos of E.T. from all angles. During the first attempt, we noticed that the photo quality was not optimal. A chunk of pictures had a lower quality than advised for using the program (the advised number is 0.5 or higher). Moreover, when aligning the images in Agisoft Metashape, E.T. suddenly seemed to have four arms instead of two. We suspected this was because his arms moved while shooting.
To both improve the image quality and solve this problem, we decided to retake the images. This improved the quality, but the arms remained a challenge.
