By importing to another software Vayager, we continued our specific research about the character background and the features of this toy, as well as the social and cultural meaning behind it to complete the entire 3D scholarly edition. Our experience with Voyager is much better than Agisoft metashape as we explored its functions faster, and the previous master students' edition work can be a good inspiration to us. We tried to delve into the character Mulan from the original ballad to its evolution of the Disney princess, thus this edition includes three tours: Chinese Ancient Culture, Protrayls of Gender, and the Othering of Disney Princes. Given there are three movies from Disney’s production, sometimes we felt uncertain to focus on which version more because they both contribute to the social and historical analysis of this character.
The whole process was quite challenging for our group in terms of both time and skill aspects, but it was a great chance for us to experience the 3D project as the practical skills we expected to acquire from this master's degree. Through this group effort, we were able to gain some practical abilities in the realm of media studies, and we look forward to discovering more in the future.
