In the end, we managed to create a 3D model of the Mickey Mouse plush toy that was more or less to our liking. Re-processing the model from medium to high quality turned out to be slightly challenging, yet with it we managed to create more of a detailed texture on most of the toys surface area, close some holes that were present in the medium quality model, as well as hollow out the space between Mickey’s arms and body with the previously created masks.

Some aspects of the finished model didn’t turn out like we wished. The black monochrome are of Mickey’s body, ears, and back of the head didn’t end up having the plush toy’s fabric texture, as the texture could not be applied to these dark areas in Metashape. Although, we were happy with the texture on the face and clothing. Blurry texture that is visible on in the crevasses below Mickey’s chin and the connection areas between the toy and the white bottom sheet also didn’t end up looking as neat as the rest of the model. Even with some slight unwanted aspects, we were still happy to have immortalised the beloved Mickey Mouse in this 3D model, through this learning and creating experience.
